Who is responsible for your information?

SL4 Electrical Services Ltd (company number 17361762), registered in England and Wales, is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Information collected

This may include your name, phone number, postcode, property or job address, messages, photographs, quotation details, appointment information, invoices, payment records, electrical test results and certificates. The website enquiry form does not store your details on the website; it opens WhatsApp with a message for you to review and send.

How and why it is used

Your information is used to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange and carry out electrical work, provide invoices and certification, keep service and safety records, deal with warranties or queries, and meet legal, tax, insurance and regulatory obligations. The lawful bases used are taking steps before or performing a contract, compliance with legal obligations and legitimate business interests such as managing enquiries and keeping appropriate work records.

Who information may be shared with

Information is only shared where reasonably necessary—for example with service providers used for messaging, invoicing, certification or secure business records; with an accountant or insurer; or with a distribution network operator, building-control body, scheme provider or public authority when a job or legal obligation requires it. Personal information is not sold.

How long it is kept

Unsuccessful enquiry details are normally kept for no longer than 12 months. Customer, job, invoice, testing and certification records may be kept for up to seven years after the work, or longer where required for safety, warranty, insurance, tax or legal reasons. Information is securely deleted or destroyed when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer of your information. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.

Website analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode. The Google tag is included when a page loads, but analytics storage and all advertising-related consent signals are denied by default. If you select “Accept analytics”, analytics storage is enabled so SL4 can understand how visitors find and use the site—for example, pages viewed and interactions such as telephone or WhatsApp enquiry clicks. If you decline, Google Analytics does not set or read analytics cookies or similar identifiers; Google may receive limited cookieless measurement and consent signals. You can decline without losing any website features and can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Google may process online identifiers and technical information such as device, browser, approximate location and interaction data. SL4 Electrical Services does not use this information for advertising and does not ask Google Analytics to collect the personal details entered into the guided enquiry form. Analytics consent is stored on your device so the website can remember your choice.

External services

When you follow a link to WhatsApp, Google, Facebook, Instagram or Nextdoor, that service’s own privacy and cookie terms apply. Basic technical information may also be processed by the website hosting provider to deliver, secure and protect the site.
